Remembering Tanya – Testimonials

Tanya was more like a daughter than a daughter-in-law to me. She had a heart bigger than anyone I have known and was always wanting to know what she could do for you. I miss my girl. –R.V. Baugus Sr., father-in-law

The sweetest Diva that ever strutted the face of this earth! What an honor to be her soul sister. Love her forever always! –Kristi Bowen, fellow “Diva” from high school

Tanya to me was simply love. It was everything about her and it was uncontrollable. It flowed from every part of her being – her eyes, her smile, her laughter, oh, that laugh, her hands and her precious heart. Her love was unconditional, selfless, never judging, always forgiving and truly bigger than life – this life anyway. To have received Tanya’s love every day of my life as her little cousin was a blessing I will cherish all my days until we meet again. Oh, how I look forward to that day. –Milly Butler, cousin

A woman like Tanya is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds. R.V. trusted her without reserve, and never had a reason to regret it. Never spiteful, she trusted him generously all her life long. She dressed for work at Coaches Outreach, eager to get started. She sensed the worth of coaching families, always assisting anyone in need, and boy could she put on a conference! She faced the world with that warm, beautiful smile. When she spoke, she had something worthwhile to say, and she ALWAYS said it kind. Many women have done wonderful things, but Tanya outclassed them all. –Sherrie Callahan, Coaches Outreach family

From the day Rea and Verne blessed us with Tanya, she was everyone’s little darling; but it was the adult Tanya that will always hold a special place in my heart. Tanya was more than just a cousin to me. Our family ties grew into a friendship that I will remember and hold dear. I will always treasure our memories together! ‐ Kay Crofford, cousin

Tanya was a precious friend. Always selfless and kind. She saw the best in everyone and made sure they knew that. She was a carrier of peace, hope and joy which radiated to everyone around her! –Laura Fincher, long-time friend

When I picture Tanya, I see a smiling face, ALL of it! She’s a lover of life now more so than ever. I never heard her speak a malicious word about another and that’s a rare quality. Genuine, selfless, thoughtful, sweeeet, precious in every sense of the word. 2 Corinthians 5:8. –Gurie Fisher, long-time friend

When I think of Tanya, I think of Philippians 2:15 which says, “Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” She shined like a star! She used her days striving to be more Christlike. She always knew when to call, what hard questions to ask, and which words of encouragement to speak. She was a true friend every day and I am richer because of her investment in me and my family. –Tashia Gerlach, long-time church friend

Tanya was my one true sister on earth and by the true love of Christ will be my sister in heaven, too. There are too many words to describe her, but I am thankful for Christ’s love and mercy so we can see each other again. –Karla Harris, cousin

Tanya was a dear friend and I thought of her as my second sister. We would go days working side-by-side never saying much but knowing we had each other’s back. She was a model Christian with a true servant’s heart. She impacted thousands for Christ! –Robert Irion, Coaches Outreach coworker
